The Finance for Business North East programme is a £142m investment fund established to provide debt and equity funding to SMEs based in the north east of England.
The fund is financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the European Investment Bank (EIB) under the European Commission's Joint European Resources for Micro to Medium Enterprises Initiative - otherwise known as the JEREMIE programme, and is managed by North East Finance.
The Fund comprises seven specific funds, each of which is managed by an experienced fund manager, with responsibility for making investment decisions.
